The Ark Valley High Rollers (AVHR) are bringing fast-paced flat track roller derby action back to the Chaffee County Fairgrounds when they take on the 10th Mountain Roller Dolls from Eagle.
On Saturday, June 24, AVHR and 10th Mountain will go head-to-head, with the first whistle blowing at 7 p.m. These two teams have a longtime friendly rivalry that will undoubtedly make for a lot of thrills and spills on the track. Soc Her Ballz and The Struck-Ya Bus will be on track shutting down the opposing jammers along with your heavy hitters, Pogue Mo’ HoneyGuns and Nacho Sleeze. Boo Tease and STINGerella will be showing off amazing footwork as they juke their way through the pack.
A bake sale for all and libations for those 21 and older will be available.
Pre-sale tickets can be purchased in Salida at Moonlight Pizza and Café Dawn for $10 or $12 at the door. Free admission for children 10 and younger. A portion of these proceeds will be donated to Greater Arkansas River Nature Association. GARNA’s mission is to foster stewardship of the resources of the greater Arkansas River region through education, volunteerism and experiences.
After the conclusion of the roller derby bout, the High Rollers invite fans to join them at the newest hot spot in town, Soulcraft Brewing, to meet, mingle and enjoy delicious libations while listening to the sounds of Sol Seed!
Come out and support your local roller derby team with action packed entertainment and family fun.
