It’s that time again in the Ark Valley. Summer temperatures and raging snowmelt combine for the idyllic conditions to provide another bustling tourist season. Eddyline Brewery and Taproom of Buena Vista have, once again, lined up quality live music every weekend in June, July and August. Eddyline Basecamp Jam Sessions pair a variety of music with local craft beers and handmade pizzas.
The sessions are slated for Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 3 p.m. Launching the Summer Saturday series Saturday, June 3, will be Joe Gillis with his unique brand of folk music. Gillis hails from Canada and has had an interesting life as a lieutenant colonel in the Canadian Military. Today, he lives out his passion for performing and writing original mu sic with a strong Celtic influence. Listeners can expect songs of highlands and lowlands, as well as of life living on an “isle,” as he pays homage to his home of Cape Breton.
On the following day, Sunday, June 4, James B. West will perform from 1 to 3 p.m. As the jam series continues, look for Logan Royce & Desazi Smith as well as Canyon Collected performing two dates back to back. The Flyin’ Hot Saucers – a particularly interesting booking – brings a rock duo with powerful vocals and crunchy guitar riffs to Eddyline. And Glenn McLaughlin rounds out the month of June.
These family-friendly shows are open to all ages. Delicious wood-fired pizzas and local artisan beer paired with Eddyline’s Basecamp Jam Sessions is a perfect combo. Stay tuned for more from Eddyline this summer. There’s lots ahead!
