Enhance your skills with the most classic and important of chef’s tools and improve your efficiency in the kitchen. In this hands-on class, you’ll hone basic knife skills and practice the fundamental cuts—mince, dice, brunoise, bâtonnet and julienne. We will also discuss knife selection, how to hold a knife, sharpening, honing, cleaning, and storing a knife properly. Finally, you will enjoy a wonderful Asian-inspired vegetarian meal that YOU will help prepare. We will have a variety of chef’s knives for you to practice on, but you are welcome to bring your own knife from home.
