SELLARS PROJECT SPACE PRESENTS SALIDA SOUP NUMBER 30 – LET’S GIVE THANKS!
Ten past winners present updates; diners vote with “Soup Bucks” to award $250.
(Salida, Colorado: November 13, 2017) – Sellars Project Space’s 30th installment of their popular Salida Soup event will bring ten past winners together to vie for diners’ donations, to further enhance their community programs.
SPS’ Mark Monroe says “November’s Soup is going to be all about giving thanks – thanks to those who keep making a difference in our community. Ten past Soup winners will be asked to attend, to give the diner’s an update on the status of their projects and share stories about them. The diners will then vote for their favorite programs using their $5 donations instead of a ballot. Each program takes home whatever amount ends up in their pot, and the program with the most also wins the High Country Bank gift of $250!”
The ten past winners that have been asked to attend are: the Salida High School Jazz Combo (who will also perform), Back in Black U19 Raft Team, Planned Parenthood Salida, Become Tick Aware!, Salida Cyclones Swim Team, Salida Creativity Lab, Bridging the Political Divide, Chipeta Mountain Project, PFLAG Salida, and the Salida High School Drama Team.
Salida Soup 30 is this Thursday, November 16, at the Salida SteamPlant Ballroom.
Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner starts at approximately 6:30 p.m., with presentations starting at 7 p.m. Volunteers to help clean up afterwards are always appreciated.
