Artists are wanted to help repurpose doors from the Tabor Grand

Leadville Main Street is calling all artists. The City of Leadville has in storage about 40 old doors from the Tabor Grand, which the new company didn’t want during recent renovations. We would like to get these doors into the hands of groups and individuals to create works of art we can auction off. We want to see these beautiful, historic wood Tabor Grand doors become focal points, bed headboards, dining tables, shelving units, nightstands and coffee tables in vintage style. Demonstrate your unique talents and create unique vintage pieces with old wood doors that are versatile, suitable for new interior design, home staging and modern interior design.
The fundraiser will be held early September and supports the Leadville Main Street program mission to revitalize downtown Leadville with a focus on historic preservation. We are inspired to bring the creatives and artists in our community, and surrounding communities, to the table of community development and fundraising. Your project will need to be completed and brought back to Leadville by June 15. If this has sparked an idea in how you can transform one of these doors, please contact Destinee Lukianoff, who is coordinating pick-up dates, at for more information.
