Fine art event returns to Salida for 10th year

The 10th annual Salida Riverside Art and Music Festival returns to Riverside Park in downtown Salida Saturday and Sunday, July 21-22. Admission is free.
Artists will display fine art pieces covering a wide array of creative endeavors – paintings, jewelry, drawings, wearables, woodwork, sculptures and ceramics. And for kids, there will be an art booth with crafts and face painting.
The festival will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and continue until to 7 p.m.; Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For musical fare, organizers Clyde and Danna Tullis will stage a blues and folk lineup featuring local and national musicians. Doc and Kit perform at noon Saturday, followed by Sarah Hunnicutt at 1:30 p.m., Beans and Wheels at 3 p.m., Hogan and Moss at 4:30 p.m. and Ponder The Albatross at 6 p.m.
The music will continue Sunday with Kelly Triplett at 10:30 a.m., Clyde Tullis at noon and Band On The Fence at 1:30 p.m.
