Art show benefits Central Colorado Conservancy

Eleven local artists will participate in “Through the Artists’ Eyes,” an art show taking place Thursday, Nov. 9, during Central Colorado Conservancy’s Annual Event and Fundraiser at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds.

Featured artists include Evelyn Gottshall Baker, Laura Barton, PJ Bergin, Fay Golson, Robert Gray, Fred Hubicki, Nora Larimer, Susan Mayfield, Patti Vincent, Gary White and Mary Hansen Wolfe. All are members of the organization’s Artists for Conservation program.

Each artist will feature up to three of their pieces, including paintings, three-dimensional works and a variety of additional media. A portion of artwork sales will benefit the Central Colorado Conservancy.

Artists for Conservation is a new program in which artists join the organization to support its mission, while the Conservancy provides exposure for member artists who reflect their vision of the natural world’s wonders. For more information on the program or about the artists, visit the http://CentralColoradoConservancy.org/artists-for-conservation.

“We know that many artists are inspired by the region’s natural beauty,” said Jeanne Herrick-Stare, Conservancy board member. “This program gives local artists the opportunity to become a voice of the Conservancy and be a part of our mission and our work in the wider community.”

The art show is part of the Conservancy’s largest annual fundraising event, which starts at 5:30 p.m. at Chaffee County Fairgrounds. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit CentralColoradoConservancy.org.
